Restoran Goon Wah - Jalan Kuchai Lama

I came to know about this place through my sister's recommendation.
It's not difficult to find this place. And the food will not disappoint you at all.

Here are several signature dishes :

XO Claypot Fish Head Noodle.
It was served with 3 to 4 pcs of fried fish head, along with some tomatoes, yam and salted vege.
I love the yam so much as it was soft, fragrant and it had absorbed the essence of the fish soup.
The fish head was fresh and it didn't have the mud smell. Double thumbs up for that !
yums... GOOD FOOD !
The milky fish soup was not too think compared to other places.
I like it because I could enjoy the soup even more this way.
Some places made their soup too thick, it made me feel bloated and I couldn't finish the bowl of noodles no matter how good it tasted.

Fried Pork Stomach & Intestines with Dried Shrimps.
This was my second favourite dish of the day.
The way they cooked this dish, it made the pork stomach and intestines to be so crunchy and bouncy. The crunchiness of the deep fried dried shrimps enhanced the taste and texture of the food.
It's indeed good food !

Stout Chicken Wings
The grilled chicken wings was finely marinated. It was as sweet as honey and it had the unique hint of the barbeque taste at the same time. The meat was so tender and juicy.
I think men will definitely like this food a lot.
Not because it's "stout" chicken wings but because it's more of a masculine food to eat.
It's as compatible as the chicken wings at Yuan Steamboat, Sunway Mentari.
Another good food !

Claypot Lou Shu Fun
This version of Lou Shu Fun came with a little wooden box underneath the claypot.
It was to keep the food hot. It was quite unique as I never see a box like it before. :)
My sister liked this dish a lot. However, I would prefer the lou shu fun at Petaling Street better. This version was too dry for me and it's not as flavourful as I expected.
But well, you can always try it :)

Overall rating : 8/10
Verdict : will go back again :)
